Job Purpose

To support the faculty and department in pursuit of its academic and research objectives which include lecture subjects in Electrical Engineering 1 or Software Engineering 2; keep accurate records pertaining to learning and teaching activities; contribute to curriculum development and design; develop service-learning activities

Job Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Lecturer:

A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
At least two (2) years lecturing experience in Higher Education or relevant industry experience.

Junior Lecturer:

A Bachelor Honours in Electrical Engineering
Proficiency in Electrical Engineering 1 or Software Engineering 2

Key Performance Areas / Principal Accountabilities

Lecture subjects within the field of Electrical Engineering.
Participate in curriculum development
Perform appropriate academic and administrative duties in the Department
Participate in the Quality Assurance activities of the Department
Contribute community initiatives by integrating community interventions into curriculum.
Develop and maintain linkages with industry and professional bodies on co-operative education, new techniques/technologies, and research projects
Perform other functions as may be assigned by the Head of Department
